July 21, 2020: Several companies are to report earnings before and after the bell today. Four of which rank in our five stocks to watch. The fifth stock, HIBB, saw a recent surge and despite falling, looks to again be on the move.

Here’s our top five stocks to watch this July, 21.

Philip Morris International, Inc. (PM) – $72.88

Phillip Morris International, Inc. (PM) announced their second-quarter earnings before the bell and they were better-than-expected. Revenue estimations have forecast the stock (PM) to be at $6.5-billion, but the actual reported revenue hit $6.65-billion. Earnings per share also topped the estimate of $1.1 per share, with a reported $1.29 per share.

The Coca-Cola Company (KO) – $46.07

The Coca-Cola Company (KO) released its second-quarter earnings before the bell. Their revenue of $7.15-billion missed estimates by $30-million ($7.18-billion), yet earnings per share beat forecasts by $0.02, coming in at $0.42 per share.

Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) – $365.73

Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT) second-quarter earnings will be reported before the bell today and news sentiment is bullish. Estimations put Q2 earnings above Q1, forecasting earnings at $5.72 per share on revenue of $15.23 billion. LMT is top of the stocks to watch today.

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN) – $136.58

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TXN) will announce their second-quarter earnings today after the bell. News sentiment is bearish towards TXN but is a relatively strong 70-percent positive. This is despite Q2 estimates being considerably lower than Q1 earnings. The estimate for Q2 is that TXN has a revenue of $2.91-billion (Q1 $3.33-billion) with earnings per share of $0.86 (Q1 $1.14).

Hibbett Sports, Inc. (HIBB) – $22.49

Hibbett Sports, Inc. (HIBB), issued a strong second-quarter sales forecast on July 20. In the announcement, they stated that sales were up 70-percent over Q1. During Monday’s after-hours trading, shares in HIBB were up 21.46-percent. The second-quarter earnings are expected to be released on August 21. HIBB’s 52-week high of $30.98 and a positive forecast, make it one of the stocks to watch during today’s trading.
